Make it seven blowout wins for the Mt. Pleasant Tigers this season. They blew past Cornersville 67-29 on the road. The win was nothing new for Mt. Pleasant as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Pleasant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Benderman, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Benderman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Holt, who scored 15 points.
Mt. Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Cornersville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will challenge Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis County is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Cornersville, they will head out on the road to take on Hampshire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampshire comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
