Even though the Bismarck Indians have not done well against the Meadow Heights Panthers recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Bismarck's way against Meadow Heights as Bismarck made off with a 60-35 victory. This was payback for Bismarck, who suffered a 55-47 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bismarck's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Hawkins led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Halie Dickey, who scored 22 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds.
Bismarck's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Meadow Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Bismarck will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley at 8:00 p.m. As for Meadow Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on November 29th.
