Basketball Recap: Northwestern Snaps 14-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corry, Northwestern was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They snuck past the Eisenhower Knights with a 48-42 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while the Knights are ranked 179th).

Northwestern's win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Eisenhower, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Northwestern Wildcats challenge the Maplewood Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwestern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Eisenhower, they will head out on the road to challenge General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
