The Bucklin Red Aces stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Macksville as Bucklin made off with a 51-27 victory. Winning may never get old, but Bucklin sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Bucklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karlee Evans, who scored 16 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Evans has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Jones, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Kambry Adams and Laney Butler certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Adams scored six points along with three steals, while Butler scored six points along with two steals.
Macksville struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bucklin is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Macksville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Bucklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Bucklin will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Macksville, they will take on Otis-Bison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Otis-Bison is coming into the contest with four straight victories at home, so Macksville is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
