The Hoopeston Cornjerkers will head out on the road to square off against the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoopeston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
On Tuesday, Hoopeston beat Watseka 60-53.
Hoopeston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wyatt Eisenman led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds. Kendrick Sigerill was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Georgetown-Ridge Farm was beaten by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 69-29 on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Georgetown-Ridge Farm in their matchups with Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin: they've now lost nine in a row.
Hoopeston's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season.
