The St. Edward Beavers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a  rough 64-43 defeat at the hands of Fullerton. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Edward in their matchups with Fullerton: they've now lost eight in a row.
 Despite the loss, St. Edward still got an impressive performance from   Anthony Reader, who  scored 23 points along with six  rebounds. That was a full 53.5% of St. Edward's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Diego Herrera-frias was another key contributor,  scoring three points along with five  rebounds and five  steals.
 Fullerton found their leader in underclassman  Kane Wetovick, who  scored 25 points along with eight  rebounds and four  steals. Wetovick hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was  Terrick Gonsior, who  scored ten points along with four  steals.
 St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Fullerton, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
 St. Edward will head out on the road to  challenge  St. Francis at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Fullerton, they will be playing at home against Elba at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Elba is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
