Lynden (Wash.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 21 fourth quarter points to seal the 35-7 victory over
Sultan (Wash.).
After taking the lead on a
Sterling Somers touchdown pass to
Scooter Hastings in the first quarter, the Lions were up 14-0 at the half.
Lynden put up 21 points in the fourth quarter en route to the win. LHS scored on a punt return touchdown by
Jordan Wittenberg, a
Trent Postma touchdown run and a touchdown run by
Jaremy Martin in the quarter.
Sultan's lone touchdown came on a 52-yard pass in the fourth quarter.
The Lions came into the game allowing 11.3 points per game.
The loss ended Sultan's three-game winning streak.
