Midland waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Powers Catholic Chargers as they made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Chemics, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Midland's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Powers Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Midland will welcome Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Powers Catholic, they will square off against Swartz Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
