Macomb has gone  a perfect 3-0 against West Prairie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Bombers will venture away from home to  square off against the Cyclones  at 4:30  p.m. West Prairie took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Macomb, who comes in off a win.
Macomb proved they can win big  on Monday (they won by ten) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Canton, sneaking past  7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Bombers have posted  since May 3, 2024.
The team  relied heavily on  Emmett Beck, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in May of 2024.  Drew Watson also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 Beck wasn't the only one making solid contact: Macomb  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in three consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, West Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They lost  13-0 to Cuba/Spoon River Valley.
 West Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Macomb, the  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 2-8.
 Macomb took their  victory against West Prairie  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  20-13 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
