Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Warren Central walked away with it. They blew past the Center Hill Mustangs 8-1 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Maddox Lynch was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Jacob Kealhofer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Steed, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Warren Central pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
