They walked away with a 50-40 victory over ED White. Given Booker T. Washington's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while ED White is ranked 549th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Alex Jasquith, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Logan Brown was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Several Commanders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Toussaint Chery, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyliko Maduro, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Booker T. Washington's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for ED White, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will take on Choctawhatchee at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Choctawhatchee is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for ED White, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Parker at 12:00 p.m. Parker is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
