Lafayette County extended the longest winning streak in Missouri River Valley - East this week by beating Afrikan Centered, 61-0. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Lafayette County took down Afrikan Centered 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Holden's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jeff Miller threw for 128 and three touchdowns and Matt Borgen had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Max Mickey chipped in 148 yards. Jordan Sullins helped Holden's passing attack out by catching two balls for 47 yards.
Holden's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 548 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Sullins has 14 catches for 161 yards. Mickey leads the league in rushing with 2202 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Steve Cook's team takes on Knob Noster. The Huskers are in first place, while the Panthers are in third place.
Knob Noster and Sherwood played the most hotly contested game in Missouri River Valley - East this week, with Knob Noster eventually emerging with a 14-12 victory.
