The Big Pine Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Baker. Big Pine has struggled against Baker recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Ericson, who scored 15 points. Wil Mairs was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Baker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Richard Ibarra out in front who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Ibarra has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Robledo, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Big Pine dropped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Baker, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Owens Valley the next time they take the court. Big Pine will host Owens Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, while Baker will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
