In what's become a running theme this season, the Cactus Cobras gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 80-52 victory over Goldwater on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-16.
Bradey Henige was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 20 rebounds. Henige is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Hutton, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Cactus has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Goldwater, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-15.
Cactus will take on Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peoria will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Cactus is ranked 37th). As for Goldwater, Goldwater and Agua Fria will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Agua Fria is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
