Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Whitefield Academy WolfPack walked away with it. They strolled past Darlington with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14. The win was nothing new for Whitefield Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Callum Neese was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 36 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Mason Hollingsworth, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Whitefield Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Darlington, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-5.
Whitefield Academy will be playing at home against Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Darlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
