The Zion Chapel Rebels will be playing at home against the Luverne Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Zion Chapel will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
Last Thursday, Zion Chapel was able to grind out a solid victory over Goshen, taking the game 59-48. Given Zion Chapel's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Goshen is ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Slade Grantham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Zion Chapel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Chestnut, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Luverne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-41 loss to Highland Home on Thursday.
Zion Chapel's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Luverne, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
