The Randleman Tigers had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They managed a 43-39 win over Wheatmore. That's another feather in the cap for Randleman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Randleman to victory were Chenleigh Robinson and Audra Petty. Robinson scored ten points along with five steals, while Petty dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Petty is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Kadie Green was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Randleman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Wheatmore, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.
Randleman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Eastern Randolph will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Randleman is ranked 210th). As for Wheatmore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 14 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
