The Malad Dragons lost against the Bear Lake Bears back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Malad took a serious blow against Bear Lake, falling 66-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Malad in their matchups with Bear Lake: they've now lost eight in a row.
Leading Bear Lake to victory were Christian Bush and Bryson Crane. Bush dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Crane dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bush has scored all season. Taylor Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Malad's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Bear Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
Malad will head out on the road to face off against Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Idaho (Malad is ranked 112th, while Aberdeen is ranked 90th). Bear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
