Lapointe scored a full 47.4% of Winnebago's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachman Free-Bass, who scored 8 points along with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Oakland-Craig had to settle for a 37-34 defeat against Howells-Dodge on Saturday. Oakland-Craig has struggled against Howells-Dodge recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Braylon Anderson, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Mason Pearson was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Winnebago's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oakland-Craig, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Winnebago have been dynamite from deep this season, having nailed 38.3% of their threes per game.
