Even though the Sky View Bobcats scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Ridgeline Riverhawks still came out on top. Ridgeline walked away with a 65-56 victory over Sky View. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as Ridgeline did.
Carson Cox was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Blotter, who scored seven points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Sky View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Macade Rolle, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Zachary Oxborrow, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Ridgeline's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Sky View, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Ridgeline will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Mountain Crest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Sky View, they will head out on the road to take on Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Canyon presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sky View in Utah (Green Canyon is ranked 20th, while Sky View is ranked 73rd).
