The Verrado Vipers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Desert Mountain Wolves at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Verrado had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past the Tigers 15-2.
  Abbey Feld made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (she also only allowed one  walk). Feld has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Feld was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Cameron Marchese was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  triple.  Faith Grabau was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Desert Mountain got themselves on the board against Cactus Shadows on Tuesday, but Cactus Shadows never followed suit. They were the clear victor by  a  10-0 margin over the Falcons. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Desert Mountain.
 Like Verrado, Desert Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player:  Lilly Goodwin. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Goodwin was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  McKinsey Beyer was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Bella Eynon, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.
 Verrado has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record  this season. As for Desert Mountain, their record is now 17-4.
 Verrado came up short against Desert Mountain in their previous meeting  back in March of 2023, falling  5-0. Can Verrado avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
