Brookland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Lonoke Jackrabbits on Saturday as they made off with a 13-5 victory. Considering the Bearcats have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Brookland, bringing their record up to 23-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Lonoke, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Brookland and Lonoke are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bearcats will take on Central Arkansas Christian on Thursday. As for Lonoke, they will square off against Harding Academy on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Jackrabbits' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
