Volleyball Recap: Mia Claire Barnes and Peyton Beatty Secure Win for Paul Laurence Dunbar

Leading Paul Laurence Dunbar to victory were Peyton Beatty and Mia Claire Barnes. Beatty had six digs and three aces, while Barnes had five aces and one assist. Those five aces gave Barnes a new career-high. Camille Bowman also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Paul Laurence Dunbar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Stockdale, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Paul Laurence Dunbar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Victory Christian on the 29th. As for Stockdale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Judson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
