The Warren County Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against Southeast Halifax as Warren County made off with a 46-22 victory. Warren County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 24 points or more this season.
Warren County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zarria Henderson led the charge by scoring 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Mariah Harris, who scored 14 points.
Warren County's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Southeast Halifax, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
After both having extra time off, Warren County and J.F. Webb will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Southeast Halifax will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on SouthWest Edgecombe at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th.
