The Floyd Central Highlanders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over North Harrison. That looming 54-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Floyd Central yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Floyd Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Rushing, who scored 16 points. Rushing is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Stone, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for North Harrison, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Floyd Central will be playing at home against Jennings County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Harrison, North Harrison and Lanesville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lanesville is on a six-game streak of home losses, North Harrison a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
