If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Banneker. They will challenge North Springs on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Banneker is currently enjoying a five-game winning streak and is looking to extend their dominance.
Banneker put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on Carver with a sharp 21-0 win. Banneker's success was spearheaded by the efforts of sophomore Kobe Harris, who picked up 104 yards on the ground and threw 1 TD, and junior Nick Williams, who rushed for 58 yards and 1 touchdown. Williams has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.
Meanwhile, North Springs came into their this week averaging 31.57 points per game, but North Springs fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a serious blow against Riverwood, falling 7-56. North Springs were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-35.
Banneker took the match and then some with a 42-7 victory over North Springs the last time the two teams met.
