Clearfield gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 victory over the Weber Warriors. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 12-2 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.
Skylar Davis and Brynn Nicholls did most of the damage at the plate: Davis scored three runs while going 3-for-5, while Nicholls scored two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dishongh, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Clearfield hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber struck out eight times.
