Baseball Recap: Twin Rivers Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

While Twin Rivers put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Clearwater. The Royals blew past the Fightin' Tigers 16-0. Considering the Royals have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Hester was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Drew Solomon, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Twin Rivers has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Clearwater, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twin Rivers will venture away from home to square off against East Carter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearwater, they will head out to challenge Van Buren at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
