It's playoff time, and Henrico had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Monacan Chiefs on Friday, sneaking past 72-70. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Monacan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lila Donnelly, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 30 points and seven boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Jones, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.
Henrico's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. As for Monacan, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7.
As of now, neither Henrico nor Monacan have any future games scheduled.
