Football Recap: Upland Piles Up the Points Against Hillcrest

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Upland). They claimed a resounding 49-0 victory over the Hillcrest Trojans. The high-scoring effort was just what the Highlanders/Scots needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Upland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Leah Davis and Siena Gorman. Davis got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Upland's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hillcrest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6-1.

Upland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-13 victory against Covina on the 23rd. As for Hillcrest, they will be playing at home against Vista del Lago at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
