Oakdale lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Patterson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-2 victory on Friday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Jordan Haver made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Landon Schutte was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Bas Stice was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Oakdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Oakdale's record is now 13-9. As for Patterson, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Oakdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against East Union on the 14th. As for Patterson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Sierra on the 14th.
