Community Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 90-63 win over Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy on the road. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 51-40 victory over Nebo Crossing Academy. Given Christian Family Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Nebo Crossing Academy is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win got Community Christian Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Christian Family Academy, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Community Christian Academy took a serious blow against Christian Family Academy when the teams last played back in November, falling 76-39. Can Community Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
