The Norton Lancers will challenge the Dover-Sherborn Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Norton proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 18) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Bellingham 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since April 9th.

Norton got a great performance from Dylan Ingersol as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Ingersol a new career-high.
At the plate, Jake Seaver was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Dover-Sherborn ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Westwood. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted against the Wolverines since May 4, 2017.
Dover-Sherborn let Thomas Wyatt and Will Forman run wild. Wyatt got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double, while Forman got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Mariano, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Dover-Sherborn has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Norton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
Everything went Norton's way against Dover-Sherborn when the teams last played back in April, as Norton made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
