After constant struggles on the road, West Carter have finally found some success away from home. They had enough points to win and then some against Pendleton County on Friday, taking their contest 37-22.
West Carter's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 29 first-half points. Pendleton County countered with 8 points, leaving the score at 29-8 going into the half. Although West Carter wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The win got them back to even at 4-4. Pendleton County are on a four-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. West Carter will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Lewis County. As for Pendleton County, they will face off against Fleming County.
