West Shore is 1-8 against Satellite since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Shore has three straight wins, Satellite has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Saturday, West Shore beat Brevard Christian 49-42. 49 seems to be a good number for West Shore as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Satellite lost to Cocoa Beach at home by a decisive 52-38 margin on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Satellite came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Cocoa Beach is ranked 481st).
West Shore now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Satellite, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
West Shore came up short against Satellite in their previous matchup last Friday, falling 57-51. Can West Shore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
