The Stratton Eagles won the last time they faced the Akron Rams, and things went their way on Friday too. Stratton came out on top against Akron by a score of 54-42.
Stratton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cyler Notter out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Von Isenbart was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Akron lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anderson Filla, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Poss, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Stratton's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Akron, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Stratton and Otis will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Akron, they will take on Wiggins at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Wiggins focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
