The Norton Panthers entered their tilt with the Field Falcons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Norton came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 60-50 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Norton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Field lost, one person who can't be blamed is Delilah Rahe. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Rahe is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last three games she's played. Abby Harlin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Norton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Field, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norton will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Branch's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Field, they will be playing at home against the Colts at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cloverleaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
