It was a good run, but Adams Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers by a score of 7-6. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Reece Hammond made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Colston Pruitt, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adams Central will host Jay County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they will square off against Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Marines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
