The Summit Classical Christian School Archers waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Auburn Adventist with points to spare, taking the game 69-53. This was payback for Summit Classical Christian School, who suffered a 64-63 loss the last time these two teams met.
Summit Classical Christian School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Hodo, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hodo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Gledhill, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Auburn Adventist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonathan Russell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. John-Andrew Dubreuil was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Summit Classical Christian School's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Auburn Adventist, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Summit Classical Christian School will head out on the road to take on Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muckleshoot Tribal knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Summit Classical Christian School likes a good challenge. As for Auburn Adventist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evergreen Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
