The Mountain Ridge Sentinels posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bingham and snuck past 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Lindsay, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Wyatt Sylvester was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bingham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke West, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. West has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stockton Tueller, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mountain Ridge and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Bingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Mountain Ridge will be playing at home against Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corner Canyon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Bingham, they will head out on the road to face off against Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Herriman will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
