Booker T. Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leroy Lee Jr led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Lee Jr has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jahmal David , who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Rojo, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Kenvenson Malivert was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Booker T. Washington now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dade Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will square off against American at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. American presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Booker T. Washington in Florida (American is ranked 134th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 467th). Dade Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gulliver Prep at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
