Highland recap November 13, 2013
Lake City moved up to 113 from 147 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Highland. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Alcona 56-14.
Beal City added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sacred Heart Academy, 38-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Aggies.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Evart's Jacob Fortune and Jacob Hopkins have proven to be a lethal combination. Fortune has thrown for 1,799 yards this season, while Hopkins, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 51 catches for 1,087 yards. McBain's Zach Stephan leads the league in rushing yards with 1,390.
Lake City led Highland in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Tigers.
