The Liberty Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Wyoming East on the road and fell 78-49. Liberty has not had much luck with Wyoming East recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Cole Lambert was on fire for Wyoming East: he made all 6 shots he took from beyond the arc racking up 39 points and 4 assists. Zach Hunt was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Liberty's loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Wyoming East, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Liberty will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on James Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Wyoming East will be home for the holidays to greet Bluefield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
