It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Yorktown had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Center Grove Trojans  3-2. The  victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on ten straight.
 Kendall Rowray paced Yorktown's offense, picking up 28 kills. Rowray got some help from  Landree Johnson and her 52 assists. Rowray was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 When it comes to explaining why Center Grove lost, don't look at  Avery Bastien. Despite the final result, she  had 19  digs.
Yorktown's win bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Center Grove,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four matches  and leaves them with a 26-10 record.
 Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Yorktown and Floyd Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Center Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
