Bay Port and Pulaski are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pirates will square off against the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bay Port's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Manitowoc Lincoln with a sharp 14-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won six contests in a row.

Estelle Finlan and Calli Zimmerman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Finlan didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Zimmerman pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Finlan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Finlan went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Zimmerman went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bay Port got a big performance out of Bobbi Seichter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Seichter has posted since back in April. Elly Rau was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bay Port always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manitowoc Lincoln only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Pulaski got the win against West De Pere on Friday by a conclusive 9-0.
Molly Molthen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kianna Altendorf, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Pulaski has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Bay Port, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bay Port hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Pulaski struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bay Port came out on top in a nail-biter against Pulaski in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
