Lakeside Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Keswick Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Crusaders are ranked 83rd).
Even though Lakeside Christian has not done well against the Lions recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lakeside Christian snuck past the Lions with a 34-28 win.
Meanwhile, Keswick Christian waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Bradenton Christian 54-39.
Ava Graham continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Graham is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Robyn Cantwell, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Lakeside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. As for Keswick Christian, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Lakeside Christian was taken down by the Crusaders 70-36 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lakeside Christian was down 41-19.
