While Seffner Christian's victory against Bell Creek Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Seffner Christian Crusaders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bell Creek Academy Panthers 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crusaders have posted since April 23, 2024.

Jenuel Ortiz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Mason McBane also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Seffner Christian moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Bell Creek Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will host Spoto at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spoto has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.64 runs per game on average), something Seffner Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bell Creek Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tampa Prep at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Bell Creek Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
