It was a good run, but The Spencerport Rangers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 33-22 to Victor. While losing is never fun, Spencerport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Victor is ranked 60th).
Victor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Ruffalo out in front who picked up 120 receiving yards and a touchdown. Drevariis Yeomas was another key contributor, rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Spencerport's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Victor, their victory was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencerport will take on Webster Thomas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Webster Thomas is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Victor, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Churchville-Chili at 7:00 p.m.
