Bellevue and Sammamish are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Wolverines will face off against the RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Bellevue was able to grind out a solid win over Cedarcrest, taking the game 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Greyson Arnold made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Andrew Van Appledorn was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Sammamish had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Pirates 12-2. The result was nothing new for the RedHawks, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Peyton Corp looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kolin Jaster was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Reid Baum was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Sammamish was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highline only posted a batting average of .062.
Bellevue pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sammamish, their record is now 16-3.
Bellevue couldn't quite get it done against Sammamish in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
