The Saint Mary's Hall Barons's road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds at 1:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Saint Mary's Hall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Saint Mary's Hall beat San Antonio Christian 42-38.
Sedelia Wilson-larkin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella (Beya) Chase, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat TMI-Episcopal 54-7 at home. Winning may never get old, but St. Joseph Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Saint Mary's Hall pushed their record up to 23-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for St. Joseph Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Saint Mary's Hall came up short against St. Joseph Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 46-39. Can Saint Mary's Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
